Green Truck’s Journey to Kittery

At Green Truck, our journey has always been about more than just business. It’s about perseverance, dedication, and the relentless pursuit of our dreams. Today, we’re thrilled to share a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes efforts that have brought us to this exciting juncture in our story.

Green Truck was born in the owner’s former home in Berwick. Fast forward to today, and we’re on the brink of opening our retail adult-use marijuana shop in Kittery. But the road to this point wasn’t always smooth.

In 2020, we presented a petition to Kittery officials and collected 675 signatures in support of allowing adult-use cannabis shops in town. After multiple delays from the town, the following year, our dedicated team went back to the streets and gathered over 700 signatures for an additional petition. This was a testament to the community’s belief in our vision and the potential benefits of such establishments. However, the journey was filled with ups and downs. Our team faced the heartbreak of believing we had secured a license in Kittery’s retail marijuana store lottery, only to discover a mistake had been made. But we didn’t let that deter us. We remained relentless, and in 2023, our dream began to materialize. The town’s Planning Board approved our proposal to transform our former Route 236 CBD boutique into a recreational cannabis dispensary.

This achievement was not just about securing a license. It was a testament to our team’s dedication and the community’s unwavering support. Their commitment to our vision was palpable, and it’s a significant part of why we’re here today.

But Kittery isn’t our only focus. We’re also thrilled to mention our upcoming location in Sanford. As we expand our footprint, our mission remains the same: to offer clean cannabis for the working class in an inviting atmosphere.

Green Truck is more than just a business; it’s a way of life. It’s a constant reminder to remain relentless, to persevere, and to overcome any obstacle that comes our way. Our journey in Kittery is a testament to that spirit. We’ve faced challenges, but with the support of our team and the community, we’ve turned those challenges into opportunities.
